Welcome to Antiquarian Online!

Established as Heidelberg Road Vintage Bazaar in 1984 by Elizabeth Syber it later evolved into Syber’s Vintage Bazaar when Liz joined forces with her brother Phillip to continue in the family trade together. The Syber family have been in the antiques trade for over 50 years, Helen and Felix Syber opened their first store in 1970 in Adelaide. Liz, with over 35 years trading experience and with over 50 years in the industry, delved into the world of antiques from an early age. Following in the footsteps of her parents Helen and Felix Syber who were your classical “we don’t specialise” antique dealers.

She has a large selection of China, Glass, Porcelain, Silver, Asian, Chinese, Oriental, EPNS, Jewelry, Collectables, Retro and Vintage wares, Curios and Furniture from across Asia, Europe, and Australia.

Liz is a member of member of AAADA: The Australian Antique and Art Dealers Association and the VADG: The Victoria Antiques Dealers Guild. With a wealth of experience Elizabeth Syber, Antiquarian can provide you with professional valuations for market sale and insurance purposes, by appointment. Exploration and learning are at the heart of the antiques trade and something Liz is very passionate about. She has recently become a presenter of enrichment lectures on multiple cruises presenting a number of subjects from the antiques field. She has appeared on local TV show Antiques with Attitude and appeared at a number “antiques road shows” like the Antique Collectors Club of Victoria: Appraisals Day. Liz is available to present lectures and antique road shows at request for private events or legitimate charities.

Antiquarian Online is a window into Liz’s trade in antiques and old wares. Located at a Moorabbin warehouse, we can arrange to meet at a place of mutual convenience.
